Consulting FAQ's

Consulting FAQs

‘Consulting’ can mean different things to different people.  How does WebSiteMovers.com define consulting?

Simply put, we define consulting as delivering you valuable information and knowledge that *you can use* to achieve measurable improvement for your business.  Our extensive experience with virtually all types of server migrations, web applications, hosting environments, security/e-commerce, email solutions & optimization, etc., as well as web development for small-to-large businesses, means we deliver advice that works.

What is your method of delivery for consulting services?

We practice a well-established, effective and ‘back-to-basics’ approach by thoroughly understanding your unique business objectives and goals first, and then crafting the appropriate technology solution stack to achieve it.  Many other consultants may want to encourage the opposite approach and place emphasis on the applications/servers/providers – which, in the end, will likely result in a need for you to adapt your business to the solution.  With WebSiteMovers.com as your technology consulting advisor, your business comes first.

We deliver our consulting services via telephone conferences, WebEx sessions, Basecamp project portal correspondence, on-site visits to your offices and/or in-house meetings at our Troy, MI or Round Rock, TX corporate offices.

What is your consulting fee structure?

We use a simple, no-surprises hourly rate structure for consulting.  Our hourly consulting rates begin at $125.00/hour.

Can you architect/validate our new server environment?

Absolutely; this type of consulting hits our ‘sweet-spot’.  With direct activities on over 1 million unique domains since 1996, WebSiteMovers.com possesses a collective and unmatched expertise in literally every host environment in use today.  Contact us first to make sure your new server environment will securely and cost-effectively meet your business and technology objectives today, and as your business evolves.

Can you review our application structure and make recommendations for improvement?

Certainly; again this is one of our core capabilities.  Our programming teams and application architects have analyzed, reviewed, de-constructed, re-engineered and created from concept all manner of custom and packaged application stacks.  You may occasionally overhear one of our application consultants say something to the effect of ‘if I had a penny for every line of code I’ve seen….’.  In other words, we’ll very likely be sailing in familiar waters once we get engaged with your applications.
